Can swallows sleep with light on?

A weasel or something killed one of my family's geese, and we had to move the birds into the room next to the garage until we can critter proof the chicken house. To keep the evil animals from slipping in under the garage door and into the room nearby we turn on the radio and lights every night in the garage. There are three swallows living there (probably planning to raise their kids there like they do every year). Will the noise and lights keep them awake? Will it be bad for their chicks?
