I told her I said no and that he needed to ask my dad for my hand in marriage before asking me. She came unglued on me and said, " My son loves you and wants to be with you for the rest of his life and you need him to go and ask your daddy for your hand in marriage before saying Yes. Honey, he loves you and cares for you and wants a marriage bond with you that he hasn't wanted from any other girlfriend he has had in the past." Should I ask him to propose again minus my traditional way and tell her that I had him re-propose so that she wouldn't come unglued on me again about it? I know my parents love him because he is always doing stuff for them without a cost being added. I know his mom and step dad love me and want the best for their son in the future, but are they ready for their son to make a full commitment like marriage?
