Is this a good story idea or has it been done to death??? I see potential........?

Every single book has been done before in some general aspect, the only way it wont be considered "Plagiarism" Is if you make it your own. Switch it up with twist and turns. Make it into something unforgettable. Even if you have never heard of a book that someone might claim you plagiarized. For instance, I had a book about a guy being frozen since the civil war and a girl finds him and they fall in love....I got accused of plagiarizing some old movie where a guy was frozen and some friends found in him in the yard.....I never even seen that movie the only reason I knew this much is because I looked it up....anyway back to my point, just make it your own!
