Male perspective please and as many answers as possible. does my ex still love me?

My ex and I split a couple months ago and it wasn't because either of us wanted to. We've started talking again recently and have hung out quite a few times and have even been intimate. Its little things so far but he makes a point of telling me he still cares and even still calls me honey everyonce in awhile. I've even caught him looking at me while we watch tv together. He has even been loaning me things of his constantly and when I return them he gives me something else. My ex has even said that he will help me with things. He has pretty much demanded he be with me when I buy a car. He's even shown up for my bday and bought me a game that he had and could have given me for free since he doesn't like it much. He's also been continually making plans with me talking about the"next time" we hang out so I don't think its just about the sex. But I guess the main thing is when we slept together last he wrapped his arms around me and held me so tight almost like he never wanted to let go. He then seemed pretty nervous when he asked me to stay over that night. He's even given me the permission to stop by his place whenever to surprise him. Sorry for the excess info I just really feel like I need another persons perspective. Any thoughts will help
